Bruno da Silva Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Even single-celled life? Do you think that's possible? -1
StringJunky Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Still loving life I see. Life permeates kilometres into the Earth's crust and oceans so I think, short of a suitably-sized asteroid, I think it's a no.
Arete Posted August 27, 2015 Posted August 27, 2015 Viruses require living cells to replicate. If a virus kills ALL organisms it infects it will be heavily selected against in favor of less virulent strains - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Optimal_virulence, so it's unlikely that such a virus would evolve. 2

Phi for All Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 Slightly off-topic, but could a virus infect an individual's ego to the point where that person completely lost touch with reality, and deluded themselves into thinking that destroying all life was the answer to their personal problems? 1
StringJunky Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 (edited) Slightly off-topic, but could a virus infect an individual's ego to the point where that person completely lost touch with reality, and deluded themselves into thinking that destroying all life was the answer to their personal problems? The OP's problem is " Everyone else is the problem, not me.". The OP wants the world to be like Douglas Adams's Puddle. Edited August 28, 2015 by StringJunky
Bruno da Silva Posted August 28, 2015 Author Posted August 28, 2015 (edited) I've already told the reasons for doing it. It's the only way to achieve peace, grow up. Edited August 28, 2015 by Bruno da Silva -3
Endy0816 Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 A peace that nobody is left to care about is not peace. The Universe is reflecting upon itself. If you stop the reflection then nothing will mean anything once more. More practically speaking viruses don't want their hosts to entirely die out so don't expect Evolution to sit idly by for any of this. 2
Phi for All Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 I've already told the reasons for doing it. It's the only way to achieve peace, grow up. I think we're done with you. I really worry you're going to start hurting things when you find out you can't destroy it all. You're an evil little troll. 1
Strange Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 (edited) Let's hope he doesn't live in a country like the USA where he could easily get hold of a gun and make a start on his mission. Edited August 28, 2015 by Strange

swansont Posted August 28, 2015 Posted August 28, 2015 ! Moderator Note I think we're done here. While the science of such a question has merit, the stated agenda of the OP does not.
