9/11 Conspiracy Theories

To be clear I do not support any specific conspiracy theories surrounding 9/11. I simply enjoy the dicussion. Everything from the 3rd building (not hit by a plane) collasping, lack of video showing a plane hit the Pentagon, questions about inflight cell phone use, and the Bin Laden family connection with U.S. officials are interesting details that make for fun conversation.

 

Does anyone here believe the official story is a cover and something else actually happened?

Why are you saying so.. ?

 

@ 1 minute 27 second is hit.

@ 1 minute 26 second we see object flying (just one frame).

 

As we can see CCTV camera is taking 1 FPS (frame per second). This can be estimated using car a few seconds prior crash.

 

American Airlines Flight 77

was Boeing 757-223

as we can read on airplane website, max cruise speed is 850 km/h = 236.11(1) m/s.

Although they probably flied much faster (because of rapid drop of altitude prior hit).

Distance = Velocity * Time,

Time is quantized in steps 1s, 2s, 3s, etc.

That's why object is visible just on one frame. If it would be moving slower, or CCTV would be working at higher FPS, it would be recorded on more frames..

The real investigator could even estimate speed of object prior crash from such video (for higher precision there would be needed experiment in real world near Pentagon, to calculate distance visible from camera (it's fisheye-like, so it's distorting view)).

I believe a plane hit the Pentagon.

 

That video does not show a plane. The Pentagon is surrounded by facilities with cameras. None show a plane. Of course CCTVs have fpp speeds that are not useful for capturing high speed objects. I understand that. Somethings CCTVs fail to capture people running across frame. It is just one of many things conspiracy believers mention.

This is a science site yet (almost) all versions of alternative history rely on ignoring the (so-called) evidence in order to glimpse the hidden truth which requires a pre-existing faith to recognise - this is fundamentally at odds with the scientific method

It might be interesting to have a rational discussion on why they are so prevalent in modern society in Psychology but we just cannot open our selves up to the tinfoil hat brigade that descend on any individual discussion no matter how well intentioned.
