Very useful, even if you can't find exactly what you are after you can often find enough to help you discover a solution. @OP: Do you happen to know which language(s) the course will cover? Anyone got any suggestions? You can also start looking at the language you want to "main" first. Once you have decided, start looking through their API and just experiment. The best way to learn to program is to experiment. That's what I learned from my experiences, at least.
