CharonY Posted October 9, 2015 Posted October 9, 2015 Endemic refers to localized phenomena, whereas epidemic refers to something widespread. I think it is a term that I have only heard from medical microbiologists. More commonly in the microbiology community one would refer to host range, I believe.
