Before anyone say's it, I know IQ tests are subjective assessments of intelligence. However, it's still fun to take part. Last year I took it with a hangover, just to find out how much your IQ drops the day after drinking. I got about 119 and fell asleep on my desk, drooling on the keyboard :P

Fun to take part though, see what the average is. You even get to email your results to other people.

I've noticed though that if you take an American IQ test you get a higher mark than a European one - are they set differently or what?

IQ test are adjusted for culture, and obviously you won't score as well taking the wrong test. If you were European, the US test would make you out to be worse than the European ones...

I suppose what I was trying to say (badly) was that I thought the US test was easier (is that bad news for George Dubya Bush??!!).

I got 130 on the BBC test. It's 24 points higher than the average Joe in this region so I can now feel validated in my sneering.

I'm sure I can do better though. I found myself running out of time on some of the questions that should have been easy because... ahem... my attention drifted.
