gaara Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 Hello science forum kids i am at school and my teacher doesnt have a proper understanding of the term validity in relation to experimental practicals. for example a question like is the method valid cannot be properly answered by the teacher therefore i dont know either. Can someone please tell me wat it actually means, is defined as or entails and the same for reliabiliity. thanks with reliability we only continually talk about repeating the method to see whether we get consistent results.
ed84c Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 i think its where you have to compare the outcome to the plan, and look at whether you have got the resutls you set out to get. Im pretty sure thats what my science teacher taught me.
Klaynos Posted April 6, 2005 Posted April 6, 2005 The predicted results match the experimental results (takeing errors into consideration) is how I would and always have interperated it...
