jdurg Posted April 13, 2005 Posted April 13, 2005 Actually, aren't all fuels gasses during the burning process? It isn't really the liquid itself that is burning, it's the vapors coming off the heated liquid that burn and keep the flame going.

H2SO4 Posted April 15, 2005 Posted April 15, 2005 or if you blow out a normal cnadle and hold a flame a few inches above the smoldering candle in the smoke the candle will relight without touching the wick.
