Bjarne Posted January 18, 2016 Author Posted January 18, 2016 (edited) I am still confused. Are you claiming that the effects you list cannot fully account for the needed periodic adjustments of satellites? I really do not know what people calculate in this field and how they estimate the effects. Still, I have not come across anyone suggesting that gravity need any modifications, especially given how all the theory is well tested. So long influences that brings satellite out of orbit (mentioned above) is not systematical accurate and scientifically measured, - you will have a gap filled with uncertainty, - which mean you don’t know exactly how to distinguish between different contributions impacting a satellite. How do you know this, if you haven't looked at it? WHAT IS YOUR CLOCK/TIME ANALYSIS OF THE GPS SATELLITE ORBITS? Last time I will ask. If you stall again, this gets shut down. Soapboxing is not permitted. I am very sorry, - I am not sure I understand the question. The GR influence on satellites clocks is untouched. The SR influences is partly misunderstood and incomplete. To my opinion I have made it very clear what is wrong with the SR influence.. If there is any explanation missing please be nice to clearly explain what you think is the problem. For example mention a concrete example Notice English is not my first language. Off course I will do all I can to reply to you... I read some year ago that satellites clocks are adjusted to compensate for the influence of relativity, - but I don't know whether all these data / compensations are strictly recorded and scientifically analyzed for anomalies. If this is your concerns, you have a important point, here too can a (huge) job to be done. It is now easy to predict that satellites clocks orbiting aligned near the dark flow axis must reveal anomalies, that indeed is a good idea to analyze, - which i think not is done.. But again does these satellites carry precise enough clocks, able to detect such small time dilations anomalies? Edited January 18, 2016 by Bjarne
imatfaal Posted January 18, 2016 Posted January 18, 2016 ! Moderator Note Ok - thread locked until Bjarne comes back with the calculations from his theory of what his predicted anomalies are for at least a few GPS satellites or Glonass (have an even greater angle to the equator if that is useful) or Galileo Satellites (the test beds Giove A/B have three different atomic clock aboard btw so no problems with timing). You can PM me when you either have the calculations - or can at least provide the detailed model that will allow us to proceed. You do not get to say that we don't understand SR and GR on a semi-synchronous orbit whilst we use GPS to such an amazing level of detail. I would expect such a claim can be backed up with an equation that takes in the orbital parameters (radius, inclination, direction) and pops out a predicted aberration Do not reopen this topic unless you are prepared to provide the equations to back up your very strong assertions
