Abishai100 Posted February 8, 2016 Posted February 8, 2016 A water strider (or Gerridae) is an insectisoid that can balance itself on the sensitive hydrogen-bonding in water molecules almost as if it can "walk on water." Water striders have the uncanny body control to create instant body weight-transference effectively enough to use the surface tension of water molecules to literally run across the surface of bodies of water. If a spider can teach us about the compatible geometric connectivity of objects in space (with their nifty connective webs), then a water strider can teach us about the tangible molecular connectivity of objects in space (with their nifty ability to stride across hydrogen-bonds in water). Einstein told us that space-time is a tangible planar reality and that universe bodies such as planets and stars situate themselves on space-time, creating relative curvatures that create gravity contoured "tracks." If the water strider can walk on water, then perhaps the universe is not only like railroad tracks but also like saran-wrap, allowing bodies and particles to sit on planar surfaces and creating indentations and ditches in which causal events such as dipping and rolling can occur. This 'water-strider' approach to universe physics can perhaps illuminate the deformative forces that gauge object and restoration integrity. Could the 'water-strider' approach help explain structural maintenance (and resilience)? This simple 'water-strider' approach suggests, for example, that gravity is diminutive. If the water strider is a creature that can control weight-distribution with great skill, what can weight-distribution teach us about physics principles such as center of mass, center of gravity, and centrifugal forces? This is more of a systemics approach to particle physics, so the modeling would involve taking ideas from various fields of science. I would say that Matrix Mathematics is the best 'tool' to use to build a model to support this water-strider theory. Matrix Math involves the relations between numbers in an array and can help us build loose models of relevant 'connective reactivity' (i.e., substitution catalysis). I'm a little intimidated since you're an official moderator, but in terms of evidence, why not approach this offbeat theory from a 'history of science' perspective --- i.e., 'what can the theories of universal ether and symbiotic evolution offer to this discussion?' I think this water-strider approach can help us understand the intellectual value of modern age connectivity-guesswork video games such as Q*bert. Conversely, we could re-present congruence geometry as support for this water-strider approach to physics.
