Externet Posted February 12, 2016 Posted February 12, 2016 (edited) About a week ago, the snow fallen at my location was in the shape of individual rods or needles of about 2mm long and 0.2 mm diameter. Never seen that before. Edited February 12, 2016 by Externet
Endy0816 Posted February 12, 2016 Author Posted February 12, 2016 Yes, of a sort. I've seen videos. Pouring supercooled water, forming thin icicles. Yeah, I went and looked at those. Kind of along the same lines. Have no idea why but the idea caught my imagination. About a week ago, the snow fallen at my location was in the shape of individual rods or needles of about 2mm long and 0.2 mm diameter. Never seen that before. Ran into something on that after searching for a bit. http://www.snowcrystals.com/science/science.html Not what I was thinking of but interesting at any rate.
