The right column "Recent Status Updates"

What is that column on the right side "Recent Status Updates" ?

Seems more bloggy than titled...

If you click on your username in the upper right, or on profile feed in your profile, there's a place for posting that says "What's on your mind?"

 

That's your status update.

So I will translate/read "Recent Status Updates" as ---> "What is on your mind?". OK.

 

And is there a place for real "member status updates" ? Those are not changes on the user 'titles' , or moderators that stop being such, right ? Titles (leptons, atoms...) are not used anymore, correct ?

A status update is information you provide. It's not changes to profile statistics or state.
