Ada Chan Posted March 30, 2016 Posted March 30, 2016 Hi,guys. I am here to ask for your opinion about the cells should be used to test for anti-obesity properties (in-vitro studies). From what i've found, there are two types of cell line that can be use for anti-obesity properties. They are 3T3 L1 cells and OP9 cells. Can somebody tell me which one of these cells is better?
nec209 Posted April 7, 2016 Posted April 7, 2016 There is no drug out there that targets obesity. I hear in the next 5 to 10 years there may be some drugs that look good and could enter clinical trials.
Function Posted April 14, 2016 Posted April 14, 2016 Might be interesting to note that knockout of the gene coding 5-HT2-receptors induces obesity in mice ... Isn't anti-obesity, but it's a start
