5614 Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Imagine if you placed some liquid nitrogen in a rocket or plane of some sort, flew above the clouds and released the liquid nitrogen back down to Earth. In the process of the liquid nitrogen falling it'd pass through the clouds and because it is soo cold immediately solidfy them. Meaning that rather than having a little bit of rain you'd have massive chunks of ice, which'd be kinda dangerous, but hey, at least it'd be sunny afterwards! It was just an interesting thought.
dan19_83 Posted April 19, 2005 Posted April 19, 2005 Now we know what to do when it's raining!! All we have to do on the ground is put on a pair of shorts and put some containers outside to collect the falling ice for drinks!!!
Tetrahedrite Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 This probably wouldn't work. All you would do is form millions of tiny ice crystals, which would almost certainly melt before they hit the ground. Sorry to rain on your parade
AzurePhoenix Posted April 20, 2005 Posted April 20, 2005 "AHHHH!!!!! The sky is falling!!!! The sky is fall-" THWAAPPP!!!!!!
