Phi for All Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 You should fly out to Lake Havasu and buy London Bridge back for the good old UK!
Pangloss Posted April 22, 2005 Author Posted April 22, 2005 Put it this way: After I'm through buying the London Bridge, I'm gonna swing by your side of the border and pick up the CN Tower and Niagara Falls.
Obnoxious Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Money...Must...Have...Money... Money...Must...Have...Money...
RedAlert Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Put it this way: After I'm through buying the London Bridge, I'm gonna swing by your side of the border and pick up the CN Tower and Niagara Falls. You'll have to fight the Canadian Guerilla Beaver Movement first! If you pass them, then you will be face the full might of the Royal Canadian Loon Poo Bombing Air Force. If you pass them, then you will have to fight....... Damn, who will he have to fight next?!
RedAlert Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Damn right! Hopefully they won't go away runninng and shouting: ACHTUNG QUEEN!!! As your queen takes out her hidden AK-47 and starts shooting at them.
Nevermore Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Move to the US, rich people pay no taxes here, and the dollar is so weak that your winning can be converted into billions!

Aardvark Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Aree you going to reply and see how quickly the scam artists ask for money?
Pangloss Posted April 22, 2005 Author Posted April 22, 2005 Funny thread. This is really the first UK-oriented spam I've gotten (or at least the first that's gotten through my two-tier spam filtering, which captures at least 500 emails per day). I think it's because I bought something from Amazon.co.uk. Normally I just get stuff from Amazon.com, but they had a DVD I wanted that the US store didn't have. Since then I've been getting these UK lottery spams.
Phi for All Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Some capitalist you are if you can't see the benefits of sending them a measly $1000 to get $2.5M.
atinymonkey Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 This is really the first UK-oriented spam I've gotten (or at least the first that's gotten through my two-tier spam filtering' date=' which captures at least 500 emails per day).[/quote'] I feel obliged, as the UK division of your company, to process this local claim on your behalf. Of course, that would mean all emails sent between myself and UK Lottery International would be accountable under UK law to the UK system of justice. That would get round all that stick red tape that always seems to crop up surrounding remittance claims and accociated legal 'costs'. It would also mean any attempts to defraud (heavens forfend!) could be dealt with swiftly with a chat to my local police officer. Mind you, it might be simpler if I just sent the boys round to collect the cash if administration of international accounts had some sort of handling fee. Once I've got contact, I'll keep the thread informed.
Skye Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 All participants were selected through a computer ballot system drawn from 30,000 names from Australia, New Zealand, America, Asia, Europe,USA and North America as part our International Promotions program, which is conducted annually. Well no wonder you won Pangloss, they seem to be counting the americans three times.
Christ slave Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 It's fake, I had responded to similar e-mails before. But, perhaps this is a good time to ask if someone wants to give me a vbulletin license? Thanks.
Skye Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 I will, but unfortunately you'll need to pay the transfer fee for an international account. Email: skye@dodgyscams.net
5614 Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 You know I almost missed that one Skye! I just read it normally and then 1 second later I was like "one sec" in a suspicious tone!!
YT2095 Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Pangloss, IF it`s genuine, best of British to ya and well done! it`s nice to see someone else get lucky every now and then too
Phi for All Posted April 22, 2005 Posted April 22, 2005 Pangloss, IF it`s genuine, best of British to ya and well done!ed84c gets to call you naive again!
RedAlert Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 You ARE joking, right? Who knows, there's a one in a million chance that it is not a scam. It's a lottery inside a lottery!
Obnoxious Posted April 23, 2005 Posted April 23, 2005 convert to RMB (Chinese currency) before the Communist government decides to deflate their dollar. Once they do, reconvert to pounds or dollars and you'll be richer than most people!
