comradesanni Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 BLOOD FILMS;when blood is read and said to be normocytic and normochromic RBC,pls, what dose its implies?
StringJunky Posted July 23, 2016 Posted July 23, 2016 (edited) Normochromic - Haemoglobin normal concentration but not enough red blood cellsNormocytic - Enough red blood cells but haemoglobin is too low in them. The end result in either case is not enough oxygen is being carried in the blood stream in both cases and leaves the afflicted prematurely exhausted and fatigued with much less exertion than if they had normal levels of either. They are both types of anaemia. Edited July 23, 2016 by StringJunky 1
