What do u think about the claim that human mind creates and shapes reality?

!

Moderator Note

I think it has no evidence, and is therefore not a Quantum Physics subject. Moved to Philosophy.

What evidence or logical arguments do you have to support this claim?

I would suggest that the Human mind creates and shapes perception, and that percepton doesn't always accurately reflect reality.

Subjective reality ? Definitely !

We perceive reality by our brain's interpretation of certain interactions.

Objective reality ? Don't know.

I'm not even sure there is such a thing.

Damn, if that's true I must hate myself...

yea i have the opposite problem i dont like myself but things are going ok for me. I want to change but cant seem to get enough will power to continue the change.

I dont think my mind shapes reality. possibly collectivly but we would have to test that.

This is the claim of physicist Fred Alan Wolf..ı could not decide if it is quantum quackery or not..

Generally, ideas that relate quantum mechanics to consciousness are considered pseudoscience. Wolf's work is considered no different and related to 'quantum New Age spirituality'.

I would say that subjective realities and objective realities are linked (anything that can be observed is part of reality) but that the link is vanishingly small.

But I would say that every single thought we have must have a physical manifestation somehow if we were only able to observe it. For that physical manifestation to have a widespread physical consequences seems far fetched. Its influence would be limited to its immediate environment.

Even if that environment was the other end of the universe as I think entanglement may imply then that is still a vanishingly small environment. and so of no practical consequence.

Can the claim that our thoughts determine the reality be related to the copenhagen principle of quantum mechanics?

I doubt it - not in a very scientific way at least.

It doesn't matter how often you ask the same question, the answer is still no.
