Strange Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 This is interesting, but I particularly like the "infographic" they used. You know, just in case you are not sure what 1.5m is... http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/technology-36912700
Phi for All Posted July 29, 2016 Posted July 29, 2016 One standard kangaroo. Is that the new GPS unit for measuring plate tectonics? "We're off by a kangaroo because Oz is moving north at a rate of 1 platypus bill per year."
swansont Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Is it 4 wombats to the platypus or the other way around? I forget.
imatfaal Posted July 30, 2016 Posted July 30, 2016 Well at least the metric kangaroo system makes a bit of sense and has common multiples - the mad New Zealand Geologists are still using Imperial Kiwi Units - three Kakapo to the Kiwi, twelve Kiwi to the lamb,1760 lambs to the Rugby Pitch

Too crowded.

Perhaps that is why the AllBlacks are so damned good - the rest of the world trains on empty pitches whereas the NZer have to dodge weave and push around 1760 lambs on their training pitches
