Primarygun Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 Can plants remove the agricultural pesticide inside their bodies themselves? An advertisement on the TV said that letting the plant away from the pesticide for 30 days can ensure not too much pesticides are left inside their bodies. I don't think so, as plants excretes so little and they don't have any toxin-breaking organ, do they?
Green Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 I believe so as well.REsearch showas that plants do not have an excretory organ that deals with toxic substances
hyebeh Posted May 1, 2005 Posted May 1, 2005 plants retain most of the poisons they absorb; that's why they are used to absorb toxic chemicals during the clean up of toxic wastes.
