C60 Posted May 4, 2005 Posted May 4, 2005 This download is soooo cool its a 3D sim of about half of our galaxy and if you have any interest in astronomy I seriously suggest you download it. Even with dial-up its worth the wait. Here it is Sim
Nevermore Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 They have other galaxies too, and addons, I used to have it. Plus it's open source, and you can add your own 3d wireframe models. I made an alternate univere with a death ray in orbit above Earth! lol
Dave Posted May 5, 2005 Posted May 5, 2005 If you think that's something, try out Orbiter - it's a free (but closed source) space flight simulator. You can fly the shuttle, as well as quite a few other more space-age experimental craft. It's rather cool, but it's not easy to learn how to get these things into space.

aaronmyung Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 i got them both. The program "Orbiter" that dave posted is definately heaps better. Strongly suggested
Dave Posted May 25, 2005 Posted May 25, 2005 I've been playing around with it for quite a while now. I'm still finding that docking anything with the ISS is a complete pain in the ass. I just can't quite seem to sync the orbits up.
