YT2095 Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 I`ve been bought a portable DVD player for my Birthday, it`s a Ventura PVS123. it`s set to region 2, does anyone know the `Hack` to unlock this? I know most DVD players have an unlock hack, for example the one in the bedroom needs the CD drawer open then 0000 Enter to unlock it. anyone know the PVS123 code?
klanger Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 We bought a new one ourselves recently, (not that make YT) through amazon.co.uk They sold it as a multi regional system, but when it arrived it had already been programmed with our region (2??) we phoned the actual manufacturer and were able to get in contact with one of their engineers, he gave us the code we needed. You could try doing the same with your one you never know your luck, the worst that can happen is for them to say no.
5614 Posted May 6, 2005 Posted May 6, 2005 If you mean Venturer PVS123 (spelt differently then): Open the tray and press: 8 1 3 2 8 The region menu will appear, press enter until region 9 is selected and then press 'play'... should work And happy birthday! (Already 'hacking' your birthday presents )
YT2095 Posted May 7, 2005 Author Posted May 7, 2005 Cheers Lads it`s working great now, and Thanx to all those who`ve sent me B-Day wishes, here and PM, being 38`s not so bad afterall
sanjaygeorge Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 Can anyone help me with sony DVD player........ in mine my region is 2........ how to change
klanger Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 Can anyone help me with sony DVD player........ in mine my region is 2........ how to change You need to be a bit more specific make and model as its not the same code for all DVD players sadly I have heard that some of the makes are more difficult to hack than others, just cant remember which ones
Guest jds1234 Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 how about this model dvd player? Panasonic DVD-127EBS is there a region code hack for this model?
5614 Posted May 28, 2005 Posted May 28, 2005 http://www.dvdhacks.co.uk/hacksearch.asp?player=PANASONIC&Sub=Find But are you sure you got the model number correct? Searching for it comes up with nothing at all. Even a google search like this http://www.google.co.uk/search?hl=en&q=Panasonic+DVD-127EBS&meta= has nothing, something dodgy there!
Guest jds1234 Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 i think its actually a silver version of a panasonic dvd-s27? is there a region code hack on this model then?
Dave Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 http://www.multiregionupgrades.com/upgrades/pana.htm seems to list the model you're after, but it looks like it requires a physical mod to make it multi-region (I believe in this case, it's a chipped remote).
5614 Posted May 31, 2005 Posted May 31, 2005 haha, you've got an annoying DVD player!!! See: http://www.multi-region.co.uk/product_info.php?products_id=676&ovi=61&poi=3 apparently that is the only method of unlocking and it costs! Or maybe this: http://www.multiregionupgrades.com/upgrades/panasonic/dvds27.htm [edit] dave seem to be beat me to it... but my links are better
addictive20 Posted October 8, 2007 Posted October 8, 2007 Hi everyone. I just bought a new TV+DVD player system, and I was wondering if anyone here could help me set it to Region 0 (I have a lot of DVDs that work with PAL2, but the damn thing is set to Region 1). The TV is an INSIGNIA NS-LTDVD19 ...Cheers!
TattyBonce2 Posted January 20, 2008 Posted January 20, 2008 Addictive20, the hack is as follows: Power DVD combo on using remote eject DVD using side controls on combo press"set up" twice on remote to reveal "Preference" screen press "1,3,8,9" in order on remote to reveal Region Code screen use remote to arrow down to region "0" power off using remote Sorted ! From TattyBonce2
laurita1 Posted August 4, 2008 Posted August 4, 2008 TattyBonce2 - or indeed anyone else - could you please help me to set the Insignia NS-LTDVD19-09 to Region 0? I tried the system you gave to addictive20, but it doesn't seem to work on this version. Thank you so much!
