Grant Posted May 6, 2005 Share Posted May 6, 2005 hi could someone please give me a brief idea of what the m theory is. and also could someone explain how ive their was a hoole in space to another universe another part of the universe , could their just be a hole in the universe.i know it requires a extremely high amount of energy but even so i dont understand it , it basically sounds like to me blowing a hole in a extremly big building. BlackHole Posted May 7, 2005 Share Posted May 7, 2005 This has little to do with QM (non-relativistic) and much more to do with general relativity, cosmology and superstring theory. Anyway, M-theory is a new, highly mathematical theory which seeks to combine all 5 superstring theories and 11-dimensional supergravity together. According to Dr. Edward Witten, who proposed the theory, mathematical tools which have yet to be invented are needed in order to fully understand it. I hope this helps...
