ecoli Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 I want to download one, but I'm not sure which ones are the best...and which ones you can use and still avoid legal action. thanks
Insane Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 You can't avoid legal issues if they find you. BitTorrent and eMule are good.
ecoli Posted May 7, 2005 Author Posted May 7, 2005 You can't avoid legal issues if they find you. BitTorrent and eMule are good. not so...programs that allow you to share files directly with other's computers, and don't have a central server are impossible for the government to find you, or so I've heard.
Jordan14 Posted May 7, 2005 Posted May 7, 2005 Try and steer clear of File Sharing programmes that are packed with spyware, adware, trojans etc, etc, it never a good idea. I would say go for WinMX

1veedo Posted May 8, 2005 Posted May 8, 2005 try gtk-gnutella. I like the clients that connect to multiple networks, myself. Shareaza is pretty good for that. On Linux there aren't very many apps that do the same thing shareaza does. Well, there are, but they're just damn hard to install. As for "avoiding legal action," try checkign out the anonominity thread...
