calbiterol Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 Well, I can't see any other way around it. I think I saw something on their forum about doing it "manually," but I don't think there's any difference. From the same point, in theory, someone could have done the whole thing in Telnet to begin with. Then it wouldn't require them to change anything, now would it?
Kygron Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 heh, I thought about what I wrote and realized I used one other app. An old version of "GetRight" a download acceleraror. I only use it now because it's got a nifty trick of turning off my internet at whatever time I want. I checked options and you can specify referer!!!!!!! Moral: Just download the file. Make sure your downloader knows where you came from. Wow, I like that trick, finnaly something usefull from these hacking challenges!!
calbiterol Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 Or you could do it with telnet and get the same usefull info without downloading anything.
calbiterol Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 Any ideas on number ten? I know exactly what I need to do, but not how to do it. [hide]You have to intercept a cookie before they delete it, but I don't know how. Or use a packet sniffer - which I also don't know how to use.[/hide]
BigMoosie Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 If you use Firefox, get the webdeveloper's toolbar extension and click information > veiew response headers
calbiterol Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 I just started using Firefox and it just keeps getting better and better. How could I ever have gotten by with plain, annoying old IE?!
BigMoosie Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 IE practically only lets you interact with the websites and not with the client. I hope IE7 is just as bad so FF will continue to gain market share.
calbiterol Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 Hmm. The architechture one on Novice (level 4) is... Annoying, and I'm stuck on it.
LOGIC Posted June 9, 2005 Posted June 9, 2005 I finished apprentice thank of Kygron I passed level 9 using GetRight. thank of BigMoosie I passed level 10 using firefox webdeveloper's toolbar thank you guys
calbiterol Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Yep, but now I'm having problems with novice level 8. I thought I saw it a while ago, but I can't remember what it was.
calbiterol Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Finally just got it by guessing. Oh well, if it works, it works. Don't have much of an idea for level nine, though. [EDIT: Got through to level ten. Level nine, I just kind of... solved? I started just trying things in connection with the wording they give you, and... Well, surprisingly, something I tried existed... And had the name of the page... Was I supposed to use [hide]spiders/bots/crawlers?[/hide] If yeah, could someone explain the concept to me, cause I'd still like to learn! Thanks...]
scientistsahai Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Hey I'm stuck up on Apprentice lvl3. Can proceed tried the source too. Can anyone help ??
LOGIC Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 try to find the difference brtween level three and the other level. it is not in the source. I am stuck in novice level2 I realize that i sould send to the server asking about its ip but I don't know HOW and telnet doesn't work !! is ther any helpful tool?
calbiterol Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 That's the internal IP one, right? If you talk crap to the indians 101 times in 4 days, you'll get an answer. Think about it. No tool is needed.
1veedo Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 I got stuck on the internal IP one too...and tried to find a tool that would get it!
LOGIC Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 I am not sure if we are talking about the same level because there is no thing about indians. Aal what I have "What is the local ip of this server?" and text filed to write the ip in!
calbiterol Posted June 10, 2005 Posted June 10, 2005 Yep, same one. Read my previous post a few more times, play with the words, play with the numbers, and think indians. Then talk crap to the indians. Tell them about something that they don't think exists. The'll help you out - they even speak perfect English.
apologia Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 can someone give me a spoiler for the flashgate v2?
LOGIC Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 Finaly I did it but I don't understand what did tou mean by "101 times in 4 days"!! any way I solved it thanx wait a sec in level 4 I tried all possible architecture could work in debian os http://www.debian.org/ports/ but no correct answer !!
calbiterol Posted June 11, 2005 Posted June 11, 2005 That's one of the ones I just guessed on. PM me about the clue for #2. Think about it first, long and hard. The indians. 101 times, 4 days. If it still eludes you, PM me.
TheChosenOne Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Can anyone help me on apprentice level 10. Its the one were you have to intercept a cookie. Do you know of any tools that can aid me in this or any methods i could use?
BigMoosie Posted July 5, 2005 Posted July 5, 2005 Firefox and the web developers toolbar is what I used.
